About us

It has been our observation that a vast majority of early-stage startups and first generation entrepreneurs need support to manage their resources effectively and efficiently to move forward.

While there are enough mentors, advisors, and coaches in the industry, we believe that it is the entrepreneurs who have travelled a similar journey and passed similar milestones are best suited to guide them.

Thus, this platform is created to connect first time entrepreneurs with such ’mentropreneurs’.

This is an absolutely free platform, aiming to build a community of entrepreneurs helping each other.

Shoot any question related to startup, entrepreneurship, funding etc. and get the guidance from people who had been there, done that.

Dr. Aniruddha Malpani, a leading angel investor, is spearheading this mission.

The Mentor Manifesto

What does it mean to be a great mentor ? Inspired by David Cohen’s Mentor Manifesto, we have created one for us :

  • Be Authentic
  • Don’t overcommit
  • Expect nothing in return
  • Listen actively
  • Mentor-mentee relationship is a two-way process, both should learn from each other
  • Don’t be judgemental. Point in a direction, let the mentee discover
  • Know your limitations and communicate them with the mentee
  • Show them the mirror
  • Take as much on plate as you can handle
  • Set realistic expectations
  • When a shake-up is required, be direct and firm
  • Don’t spoon feed. Push mentee to learn and act
  • Build experience. Take the process step-by-step
  • Network with other mentors and adopt best practices
  • Be empathetic. Entrepreneurship is hard.
  • Be optimistic, Motivation helps when chips are down
  • Don’t forget to enjoy the process and why you joined the mission at the first place
